A traditional pub treat that can be prepared ahead, scotch eggs are sausage-covered hard-cooked eggs which are dipped in bread crumbs and baked until golden and delicious served hot or cold. From an old newspaper clipping. -- posted by Molly53
The outside of the cake is chewy and macaroon-like; the inside is moist and tender. Note that the cake is eggless. The original recipe uses apricots instead of peaches. Could also substitute nectarines. -- posted by swissms
These meatballs are flavored with chipotle chiles and capers. At the restaurant they are served over rice. They could also be served as appetizers. Published in Bon Appetit, May 2003. I leave out the capers when I make the meatballs. -- posted by swissms

Basic cobbler with some healthy alternatives! Very moist and tastes great! Try any berries and or flavored yogurt! One can use all-purpose flour instead of adding the whole wheat flour. Some suggest to serve it with vanilla ice cream. -- posted by Michigan-fan
I developed this recipe after a longing for sour dough waffles. It is the compilation of several recipes and experiments. They are what a waffle should be, crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I attribute the crispness to the rice milk. You can substitute any other milk. -- posted by COTopChef
Pull up a hammock, select a good book and make a jug of this cooling lemonade to refresh you as you gently sway and wile away the long, hot hours! A simple zingy lemonade syrup that is added to water to dilute and is compulsory for hot, humid days! Lemon Verbena is one of my favourite herbs and is a welcome addition to my walled herb garden here in France. The syrup is also amazing if poured over ice creams and summer berries for a tangy citrus flavour. Add an attractive label and a sprig of lemon verbena leaves for a thoughtful summer gift. -- posted by French Tart

Hoisin sauce gives these burgers a juicy texture, while ginger and garlic provide a burst of flavor and water chestnuts deliver an appealing crunch.
Serve them over toasted whole-wheat buns with a side of tender greens.
We used this tangy mayonnaise to enliven the burger even more or for a chicken sandwich or a dip for a platter of wonderful roasted vegetables or perhaps use it as a dressing for sliced napa cabbage with scallions.:) I had some Apricot Mustard left over from another dish and the combination was great - I served it on the side.
