The silence which I have been observing for the past thirty-one years is not intended to veil my Truth but to manifest it. When you realize the Truth as the very core of your being you are free from all fear and helplessness, and all rivalries and conflicts reveal themselves to be meaningless, for you know yourself to be inviolably one with all that has life.
To the struggling, failing and faltering humanity I say, "Have faith." Turn to God in complete surrenderance and receive the divine love. You are equally a part of the one indivisible divine life. There is not a single atom that does not vibrate with this divine life.
There is no need for anyone to despair. The greatest of sinners as well as the greatest of saints has the same unfailing divine assurance.

Khorshed and her mother, Soonamasi, were living in Bombay, but Khorsed was not well. She was operated on to remove a tumor in her uterus. Nilu was consulted, and Baba gave permission for the operation, sending her this message: "Tell Khorshed I am with her 24 hours of the day."
Because Baba had said he was "with her," his Bombay devotees came to sit with Khorshed — even Kharman Masi, who was now quite elderly.
"Baba is here, so I would like to be in his presence," Kharman Masi explained.

External silence helps to achieve inner Silence, and only in internal Silence is Baba found — in profound inner Silence. I am never silent. I speak eternally. The voice that is heard deep within the soul is My voice — the voice of inspiration, of intuition, of guidance. Through those who are receptive to this voice, I speak.

Again and again, God takes human form to suffer for His creation. I am that One. Like you I have a body and mind and so I feel hunger and thirst, etc. But I also have universal body and universal mind, and therefore your individual suffering is as nothing compared to my eternal, universal suffering!
I have infinite Knowledge. I do not have to use my mind in order to know — I just know. I use my infinite Knowledge. But although I have infinite Bliss and infinite Power, I do not make use of them. If I were to make use of the Bliss that is at my beck and call, how could my suffering be "suffering?" And of what benefit would it be to mankind?
I also do not use my infinite Power. If I were to use it, how would I remain helpless? I remain infinitely helpless because while having infinite Power at my command, I do not use it! I shall use it only when I break my silence to give a universal spiritual awakening; and when I drop this body I shall use my Bliss for 700 years till my next advent.

I wish to establish a new school of thought suitable to both the East and the West. If you review my past activities, teachings and workings, you will find that they contain the elements of all religions in one way or another. They combine the teachings of all the great Prophets of the past — Jesus , Zarathustra, Buddha, Krishna, Moses and Mohammed.
You will find in my teachings and activities both renunciation and involvement in the world and its affairs — sports and asceticism, vegetarianism and at times not, the wearing of modern and western clothes in the West and the garb of the sanyasi in the East. Materialism and spirituality are both combined. I give the freedom to put on stylish western clothes, and even allow mixing with women, but with the strict order not to touch them without asking me, under penalty of death, and so forth.
I can influence both the East and West. Look at the recent rush and outburst of devotion to see and be near me in Navsari. The same sort of devotion and enthusiasm exists in the West to see me. They are actually counting the hours until we meet!
Those who have already come in my contact, and been immensely influenced and impressed, are not monks or nuns who are out of touch with society and the world, but people who are well-placed in society with great status and influence, who have great charm and lead gay lives in cities like London and New York.
When we arrive in the West, remember to be very alert and active, ready to respond to the slightest call to duty, whatever it may be. As my companions, be happy in all conditions, in all surroundings and circumstances. If you get good food and have fine beds, be happy. If you have to fast and I do not allow you to have a bed to sleep in, still be happy.
There is great work ahead, of which you have no idea. And you are the selected few chosen for my great work in the West, where people are so quick to judge, so clever and so sharp.

Just as a man, who wakes up from his sound sleep state, has invariably to pass through the state of dreaming first and then wake up completely, gaining full consciousness after the semi-conscious state of the dream (which may last for a very long duration or may last only for a split second), so, too, is it the case with God in the God-Is state. Before completely waking up from His original divine sound sleep state, God necessarily experiences the divine semi-conscious state which is the divine dream state or the creator state.
The original, infinite whim, as the Cause, manifested the first trickle of most-finite consciousness in God. This most-finite consciousness made God, now in a semi-conscious state, experience through sub-consciousness the most-finite impression of the latent Nothing which was also manifested as the Nothingness. This experience of the most-finite first impression of Nothingness began the "divine dream" — the creation of the universe.
Thus the first trickle of consciousness in the God-Is state infused God with the divine sub-consciousness which in turn bestowed the divine semi-conscious state upon God Who was in the divine sound sleep state. In this divine semi-conscious state, God dreams divinely and experiences the divine dream, or the Creation, much before the real, divine awakening state, which state, awakening Him completely, would give Him the experience of God fully conscious of His infinite, unbounded and unlimited divine nature.
This divine sub-consciousness of God also emerged from the Nothing which was latent in the God-Is state of the Everything, and necessarily was projected through the creation point, or Om point, in the original absolute vacuum of the Everything.
The very vibrations of the projection of the divine sub-consciousness of God, through the creation point in the original absolute vacuum, bestirred the divine sound sleep state of God and made manifest the original breath of God, or the original Word — the divine nad — together with space, time and the cosmic universe, with all of its paraphernalia of the limited and finite ego, mind, energy and the individual and multiple forms.

Have you all heard of Saint Mira? In India everyone knows her. People sing the bhajans sung by Mira in praise of Krishna. Mira was a very beautiful girl. She was the wife of a royal prince of a wealthy family in North India, who later became king. She loved Krishna with all her heart, but did not live at the time of Krishna, about 5,000 years ago. Mira lived 200 or 300 years ago.
Her husband did not like the way she was going about on the streets for she was the queen and queens did not mix with the crowd. She would enter the huts of the poor, the name of Krishna on her lips as she sang. She suffered many trials and threats to test her love for Krishna: she was locked up in a room, her food was poisoned, a cobra was concealed in a bouquet of flowers; she accepted all as a gift of her Lord Krishna and nothing happened, he protected her. She refused to have anything to do with anyone but her Lord Krishna.
Finally the king drove her away. She said, "If the king drives me out I have a place, but if the Lord of the Universe is displeased, I have no place." The people turned against her. As years passed, she looked radiant in her rags. Then the king came and fell at her feet. For a man in India to bow down to a woman is a sin, and to his wife, unforgivable. Yet he fell at her feet because she was sincere. When she died all revered her, and now people repeat her bhajans.
I am Krishna, I want all of you to love me as Mira loved me.

Freedom to live as one wishes is sought in all spheres of life. This imperative demand for freedom usually expresses itself by fastening upon some external conditions of the kind of existence people wish to lead. Hence those who identify their being with their country seeks national or political freedom. Those who are animated by economic purposes seek economic freedom. Those who are inspired by religious aspirations seek freedom of religion. Those who are enthusiastic about sociological or cultural ideology seek freedom of movement and freedom to express the ideals that they cherish and wish to propagate.
But there are few who realize that the basic freedom, which alone gives the stamp of true value to any of these different kinds of relative freedom, is spiritual freedom. Even if all the external conditions of a free life were completely fulfilled and guaranteed, the soul of man would still remain in woeful bondage if it failed to realize spiritual freedom.

The higher bodies function either by impersonal and unconscious forces or by conscious forces. Kundalini is a latent power in the higher body. When awakened it pierces through six chakras or functional centers and activates them. Without a master, awakening of the kundalini cannot take any one very far on the Path; and such indiscriminate or premature awakening is fraught with dangers of self-deception as well as misuse of powers. The kundalini enables man consciously to cross the lower planes and it ultimately merges into the universal cosmic power of which it is a part, and which also is at times described as kundalini. Ordinarely kundalini is the name for the power latent in the individualized soul.
The awakened kundalini cannot by itself take any one to the seventh plane. When awakened and directed under the guidance of some great yogi, it can give many rare experiences which have both advantages and disadvantages.
The important point is that the awakened kundalini is helpful only up to a certain degree, after which it cannot ensure further progress. It cannot dispense with the need for the grace of a Perfect Master.
