4/1/2009 - Michael Jordan is back...no fooling! It might be April Fool’s Day, but Upper Deck isn’t kidding around with its announcement that longtime company spokesman Michael Jordan is being honored with a 1,170-card tribute insert set chronicling every single Chicago Bulls game MJ played in from his NBA debut on October 26, 1984 through his game-clinching heroics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on June 14, 1998. 2/24/2009 - Some thought it was just matter of time. Others figured it would never happen. And still many thought it would make for a great storybook ending to a stellar major league career. In the end, Ken Griffey Jr. sided with the latter group and decided to come home again, to the city of Seattle.
3/10/2009 - One of Upper Deck’s most popular products of the year is SP Legendary Cuts Baseball. Collectors fell in love with the concept of pulling “cut” autograph cards from deceased Hall-of-Famers and baseball legends when the set debuted in 2001. Upper Deck added in additional chase cards with “Mystery Cuts” autograph exchange inserts for deceased personalities outside the world of baseball and that element has been met with tremendous excitement by collectors. With autograph cards from Hollywood celebrities, U.S. presidents and other historical personalities, it’s easy to see why.
